Pozible

My campaign was an overwhelming success. In just 3.5 days I had reached my $5,000 target and by the end of the month I ended the campaign with just over $8,000. Thank YOU to everyone far and wide that contributed and for all the kinds words and encouragement. Because of you all the record can be funded up to manufacture stage with your funds, that is more than I could have ever hoped for.

I will be posting more Videos and Photos soon as my good friend Nicole Robinson was in Studio on the Saturday to capture the recording experience.

For now here are some of the photos I took over the weekend:

Anniversary

Today, I celebrate 4 years living in Sydney.

In 4 years, I have: lived in 4 houses, worked at 1 professional business, created 1 radio show, travelled to through Canada, visited New York, Bali, New Zealand, Phillipines, listened to more live shows then I could count, made an EP, attended 3 funerals, laughed, cried, smiled, hugged often and now, this year, I am making my Debut Album and TODAY, launching a teaser for my upcoming Pozible Campaign.

THE GOAL - $5,000 worth of pledges between Monday the 25th July and Sunday 21st August, which will pay for my Producer and Studio Fees on my Debut Album due for Release in early 2017.

And so it begins..

More details to come soon, but for now, a beautiful teaser made by Nicole Robinson Photography.

Connection. Life to me is about connection. The threads, the beautiful silk threads that weave in and out of your days. Whether it is for one hour, one weekend, one year or a lifetime, people can touch, surprise and love you in profound ways.

Today flights were booked for an old and special friend to come down and play keys on my debut record. His name is Lutalo Kiyingi and I met him through my Singing Teacher and beautiful friend Tracey Osmond. She said that she thought we would make a good team and that we did. It was in playing a gig together at the Thuringowa relay for life that we met "Minty" a Radio Personality in Townsville who came up to us after the show and has supported my musical Journey ever since. I also did a Birthday Party for a beautiful friend Alice I met through working at the Townsville Airport and together Luti and I played songs all night to a group filled with lots of love and gratitude.

I never underestimate the power of connecting with people. It is something that brings great joy and lightness to my life. I never tire staying involved and active in other people's lives . I love hearing that they got the job promotion they want, or moved overseas, fell in love, got married or had their first child. I love that they live in Sydney or Townsville or New York or Kansas or Canada or Croatia or England. It doesn't matter to me if we speak once a week, once a month or once a year, we just pick up where we left off and it is like no time has past.

So he is booked in, the weekend of the 16-19th of September. We will get to be in a  BIG studio is Sydney and I am sure we will both be in awe at how far we have come from those times sitting at James Cook University singing and playing together for hours!

I hope you can follow me on this Journey as I make my Debut record. There will be lots of stories, lots of memories and lots of fun.

Taryn
